RSVP's Mission and Vision.
In accordance with the purposes of the charity, namely to relieve poverty, advance education and health [and promote environment protection and improvement], in its early projects, RSVP’s mission can be defined as:

To assist rural communities in devising and implementing sustainable solutions to the poverty-related problems in order to, eventually, wean off international aid

This means RSVP would seek to be known as, one of, if not THE most impacting charity in rural communities.

Objectives and Goals

Increase the school enrolment in the Bugarama village; Increase the number of children who successfully complete their primary education; Promote quality and up-to-date education in the Bugarama village; Promote HIV awareness to school children; Empower all stakeholders and partners.

To decrease the absenteeism rate from the national average to 1% by 2011; Increase the school completion rate from the national average (34%) to 90% by 2013; Increase the national test pass rate from the national average (6-8%) to 35% by 2011; Increase HIV awareness to children and parents therefrom (baseline statistics not available).

RSVP values

Voluntary Policy:

RSVP strives to make a difference by channelling as much money as possible on the ground. In order to achieve that all people working for RSVP serve as volunteers.

100% of donations sent on ground:

All donations, except unavoidable costs such as money transfer fees, are spent on the ground, courtesy of the voluntary policy.

Transparency Policy:

A unique code is assigned to every donation such that it can be tracked on the charity’s password- protected online monthly bank statements; and a monthly newsletter is issued with detailed information on the charity's activities.
